IECON'07 - Paper Submission

The IES Student Activities Committee offers financial aid for students to attend IECON'2007 (Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society). For the 2007 year we have allocated 13 scholarship of $ 500 each.

In order to participate in this program the applicants must fulfill the following conditions :

be an active IEEE-IES Student Member;

reside outside the city in which the conference is held;

have a paper accepted at the Conference and be the person who will present it;

no more than one scholarship will be allocated for one paper, or the one person in the same year.
Students interested in this program should submit an application form (.DOC .PDF) for the scholarship.

They should indicate their IEEE membership numbers and the reference numbers of the paper. Submit all the material by e-mail (e-mail is preferred in pdf format), or air mail to:

Deadline - July 15
The results of the selection will be announced - July 30

All the material will be evaluated by a Committee constituted by the Chair of IES Student Activities Committee, IES President, Conference General Chair, and IES Treasurer.

In case the number of applicants exceeds the budget, preference will be given to:

students with the best qualified papers according with the review of each conference;

students who have not benefited from this program in the last two years.
Special note:
Student Scholarship will be paid during conference, when recipient submit to IES Treasurer U.S. tax form W-8 (http://www.ewh.ieee.org/soc/ies/)
